Economic Development Corporation/Tax Increment Finance Authority/Brownfield Redevelopment Authority
This advisory board accomplishes several economic and community development activities that are specifically authorized by Michigan statutes. The advisory board is comprised of nine members who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council and for tax increment financing purposes, three of the members are to represent Portage Public Schools. This board has also been designated to perform brownfield redevelopment activities as authorized by statute.
